The Rottweilers' coat usually comes in the shades of black with tan or deep brown markings. The length of the coat is normally medium and it is rather coarse. The coat consists of a topcoat and an undercoat. The top coat is of medium length, coarse and flat while the undercoat that can be found on the neck and thighs should not show through topcoat.
Rottweilers Rescues - Grooming
As the Rottweiler has a short coat, it requires not so much care as do the dogs with long coats. Weekly care and grooming are satisfactory. If your dog participates in the show, naturally the grooming should be more careful. Grooming of the dog consists of not only brushing out the coat and bathing but also giving attention to the eyes, teeth, ears, feet and nails.
Rottweilers Rescues - Health
As any other breed, this one has also health problems. The potential health problems of the Rottweiler Dog Breed are as follows: problems concerning Bones, Joints, Muscles, Nerves, Ears, Eyes, Teeth and the Mouth. There can also be problems that can occur because of trauma, infection, immune system abnormalities, genetic factors, or degenerative conditions.
There can also be hereditary problems. Therefore, you need to have dog health insurance when buying the puppy. Besides, it is highly recommended that you should consult the vet regularly especially when your dog is a pup. All the necessary vaccinations need administered to protect the dog from some diseases.
Among the most serious health problems of the Rottweilers can be problems related to the Digestive System, Heart and Respiratory Systems, Immune and Blood Systems, Reproduction and Urinary Systems.
